There's no mainstream platform for the Australian people to openly discuss COVID-19 policy issues, we have to do this ourselves in the alternative media, including of course on Substack.

The COVID-19 manufactured crisis is a super important issue that has had no critical analysis on the taxpayer-funded ABC as far as I'm aware, or other mainstream media.

Far from it! The ABC, SBS and commercial media have been used as propaganda/advertising platforms for the COVID-19 narrative, with vaccines and tests and anti-viral products being promoted on news services! What a dream world for the pHarmacueutical industry, with governments' undertaking their advertising for them, along with actually MANDATING these products, the COVID vaccines!

And there was Ita Buttrose, Scott Morrison's 'captain's pick' for ABC chair, spruiking for pHarma on the commercial channels too - you could not make up how bad this is!

The taxpayer-funded ABC should be providing forums for community participation - where are they? Nowhere... Notice how comments aren't open on articles now, as they used to be in the past. We've been subjected to carefully selected talking heads on programs such as Q&A and The Drum, with no real opportunity for a broad range of views to be considered.

It's all so biased...anyone might think the World Economic Forum was running the show...

If people want to hear some frank and open discussion about the COVID-19 debacle, particularly how voluntary informed consent for COVID-19 vaccination was trashed in Australia under mandates, at the behest of Scott Morrison, Daniel Andrews and others in National Cabinet, with the rubber stamp of Chief Medical Officer Paul Kelly and the AHPPC, you can listen to this podcast between me and Nicola Charles: Discussion on informed consent and doctors' liability: https://elizabethhart.substack.com/p/discussion-on-informed-consent-and

The wretched taxpayer-funded ABC should be investigating this massive scandal - where the hell are they?

I have no faith in Kim Williams to turn theirABC around and bring it back to what it was meant to be a trusted impartial source of news. Instead it pretends to be a source of news but is a source of propaganda and opinion.

I havent listened to or watched theirABC for many years now. TheirABC is past their use by date and should be a subscription service.

Little boys and girls in their mother’s basements are not fact checkers. TheirABC wastes so much taxpayer money. I would like to stop paying for it.

Good day for Article in censorship as the battle rages between e safety and Elon Musk

I was angry that ABC reporting of the issue did not report the real issue of GLOBAL and access to VPN or the jurisdiction of Australia’s laws. Treating the general public as simpletons to promote the most anti Musk news. Musks climate action is a far cry from ultra right politics and yet the false message in the media is expanded ad nauseum

Free speech is important and control by govt of world platforms is outside international law.

What if Netanyahu Israeli govt told Twitter to remove all images of genocidal brutality against Palestinian children. How would the world know. Or even the government of the Caymens told all MSM SM to remove financial proof of money laundering

Society needs to be very cautious re control of freedom of speech because manipulation by the powerful is so open to abuse

Thanks for your analysis Maryanne

Pleased you included ITAs Pfizer adverts in examples

I think the latest X stoush will boil down to do courts in Australia have right to control VPN

I note that even when China controls VPN - this is what GROK (AI in X) says. 30% of Chinese are truth seekers

“China does not allow access to VPNs that are not approved by the government. The Chinese government has strict regulations on VPN usage, requiring VPNs to provide the government with backdoor access to be approved. This essentially renders them unsecure. However, many VPN providers still operate in China and many consumers use VPNs to bypass the Great Firewall and access the internet freely. The use of VPNs in China is prevalent, with over 30% of internet users in China connecting to a VPN, despite the restrictions and potential risks involved.”

The entire concept of "fact checking" is anathema to science, philosophy and the liberal arts.

Every "fact" requires robust counterarguments, rebuttals and enquiry in order to strengthen it, but can never be deemed incontrovertible.

Only an uneducated illiterate could assume that an organisation, idealogically based or not, could have omniscient powers in the determination of "what is truth".

I invite all fact checkers to spend some time reading through the history of western philosophy, science and medicine.

After watching a sentimental youtube clip from "The King's Speech" I was thrown a youtube on King George VI with more background, engaging to the end. I was surprised and refreshed to hear his speech on the reopening of Westminster parliament after damage in WWII:

"For freedom finds expression in this palace of Westminster, where free men and women can speak in accordance with the dictates of their consciences, yet with that saving grace of humour, and readiness to understand the point of view of others which has ever been typical of our race."

It was such a rare thing to hear, in these times, where dominant government and media communications are about closing down speech, rather than valuing and opening it up.

A prerequisite for fact checkers should be a scientific background with specific training in the analysis of statistical method, and the construction of clinical trials. The media’s analysts are by that criterion incompetent and should be called out.

Also consider the relationship between The ABC and the university/research sector website The Conversation.

See this article from October 2016: ‘The Conversation working with The ABC’: https://theconversation.com/the-conversation-working-with-the-abc-66407

That article is by Misha Ketchell, the editor of The Conversation, who personally banned me from commenting on articles on The Conversation in 2016 because I dared to criticise taxpayer-funded vaccination policy and practice, see this webpage for background: The Conversation – a marketing arm for the university and research sector? https://over-vaccination.net/the-conversation-forum/

This was around the time the coercive/incentivised No Jab, No Pay Law for children’s vaccination was enacted, in January 2016, which facilitated children being effectively mandated to be fodder for an ever-increasing number of vaccine products and revaccinations.

Note also The Conversation article ‘No, you’re not entitled to your opinion’, by Patrick Stokes published in October 2012, which was an attack on people questioning vaccination, and was associated with people from the pro-vaccine lobby group SAVN: https://theconversation.com/no-youre-not-entitled-to-your-opinion-9978

Also note that Misha Ketchell has worked at the ABC where he was a TV producer on Media Watch and The 7:30 Report and an editor on The Drum: https://theconversation.com/profiles/misha-ketchell-13

Also consider that the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has been associated with The Conversation: “The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation funded The Conversation Media Group in Australia to help launch pilots in the United States and in South Africa.” https://theconversation.com/us/partners/the-bill-and-melinda-gates-foundation

The university/research sector in Australia is vested in vaccine development, eg consider the Doherty Institute, Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, etc.

Open discussion questioning the Church of Vaccination has been suppressed and censored for years, that’s why we’re in this mess with the Covid debacle.

While I wait at airport arrivals, another post, on The Truth.

I get around in my black Julian Assange t-shirt with the white word "truth" in lower case and fading with time.

In concern at his ordeal I've wondered if Assange is going to be the next martyr, mayhaps the next imperfect messiah, carrying the message this time, not of forgiveness, but for the truth. If the worst happens, for his commitment to bring forward truthful things, I wonder if the truth will be the new beacon for the times.

It's a very big fight to get the truth.

Fact checkers should really be called dumb checkers because if you actually believe that someone called a "fact checker" has any more understanding of what a fact is and what isn't than the next monkey in the zoo, you have just checked out as being immensely dumb.

Tolstoy once observed that the "good" cannot acquire power, nor retain it, and to do so requires the love of power. And the love of power is inconsistent with goodness, but is consistent with the opposite qualities, such as pride, cunning, and cruelty.

So it is to be presumed that those who actually have power are not at all good, but are rather corrupt. They then get together with other like-minded persons and develop their plans: in other words, they conspire. So any attempt at an explanation for what they doing is necessarily going to be some kind of conspiracy theory, since what is being investigated and explained actually is a conspiracy.

We can see that nowadays the advance of science and technology has, against expectation, been harnessed primarily for the advancement of corruption and conspiracy. Makes you wonder whether the original motivation to maximize science and technology was a good idea in the first place. Lurking in the background is the imminent appearance of the super-AI, which, unfortunately, will become a vehicle for the promotion of openly satanic policies and procedures, thus completing the plan instigated so many centuries ago.

In another thought, the ABC wasn't always about accurate information. After research into Indonesian and Australian relations following the massacre of 500,000 to 1 million people (anyone vaguely associated with the communist left - including teachers and artists) across Oct 1965 - March 1966, I put out a substack yesterday giving reference to management of communications within Australia, and especially in outward propaganda to the Indonesians, supporting the massacre, through Radio Australia. The ABC is a war propaganda outlet. Are we in a war at the moment?
