96% of TGA budget funded by Pharmaceutical companies ?!?!?

In other (related) news, Dracula becomes CEO of Red Cross !

It should be 0% period. Given how government throws around money on ill-conceived, useless and frivolous causes it is scandalous that it doesn’t have enough money budgeted concerning matters of public safety which after all is its core mission. Unfortunately, the way things stand at present even if the regulatory agencies did do their own testing there would still be issues about the design and protocols used in the testing and even the competence of the technicians. Such is the state of the so-called “brain trusts” of modern day governments.

Agree, and they should aim to have vaccine advisory committees that are free of conflicts of interest - 50% of members on the TGA’s Covid vaccines advisory committee had financial conflicts.

Expand full comment

Exactly. And the conflict of interest is is rife all over the medical industrial complex. It takes just a small number of power hungry greedy influencers to corrupt entire professions. I am reminded that Michael Critchton who trained as a doctor quit the profession while he was interning as a resident in a hospital because he was turned off by the power dynamics that he was witnessing there.

And according to AUDITOR GENERAL report covering early pandemic year staff in TGA had unreported conflicts - link will be supplied

And specific conflicts not declared so the commercial interests are protected.

The power undermining these studies has so much influence it’s scary. The power and influence is so mighty, I can’t see the truth ever getting out. The independent scientists don’t have the money to keep this going and pharma knows that. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could get pharma funding out of healthcare? These last 4 years has been such an eye opener. The agencies who willingly take the cash grabs must know they’re not being honest, how do they live with themselves? No government is willing to stand up because they’re beholden to pharma. At least people in Australia are trying to expose this lie and I commend them because it’s not happening in any other country.

How many TGA execs does it take to change a lightbulb ? 💡

The Australian Auditor General has investigated Dept of Heath including TGA - report Aug 2023 and had findings regarding convicted public servants - recommend reading

######

Auditor general report:

Management of Non-Compliance with the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989 for Unapproved Therapeutic Goods

https://www.anao.gov.au/work/performance-audit/therapeutic-goods-administration-management-non-compliance

Background

2. The regulation of therapeutic goods is carried out by the Australian Government’s Department of Health and Aged Care (department). The department uses the ‘Therapeutic Goods Administration’ (TGA) to describe the part of its organisation that regulates therapeutic goods. The TGA is part of the department’s Health Products Regulation Group. The department’s purpose is to ‘lead and shape Australia’s health and aged care system and sporting outcomes through evidence-based policy, well targeted programs, and best practice regulation’.2 In support of this purpose, the department is responsible for regulating the import, export, manufacture, supply and advertising of products defined as therapeutic goods.

Recommendation no. 4

Paragraph 4.38

The Department of Health and Aged Care:

* establish an internal control to ensure that officials involved in investigations and compliance activities make and manage declarations of interest; and

* keep appropriate records of declarations of interest.

Department of Health and Aged Care response: Agreed.

Re our clean and ethical regulator

We know John Skerritt TGA Boss during pandemic until 2023 - famous or infamous in some humble opinions after handing over his TGA public servant duties re approvals in Sept 2021 to whatever the minister(s) Hunt (secret Morrison) SIGNALLED for approvals and gave exemptions from poison scheduling legislated processes to allow 2 day approval plus ARTG listing for Paxlovid and Lagevrio. Skerritt retired soon after ALP took political power and 6 months later joined his big pharma friends colleagues (mostly international conveniently using ABNs in Australia) on the Board of the totally misnamed

MEDICINES AUSTRALIA!!! a lobbying organisation with fees matching the size of the companies and votes to match - in 2023 the political donations of MED AUST was $250k in addition to Pfizer's own $22k every year to Fed ALP.

Such are the ties of politicians, ministers, REGULATOR TGA and CMO, dept of health and their retirees and pharma companies and lobbyists - how can we ever get a clean decision in Australia.

As for fast track 20% with expidited approval selectively given to international big pharma whilst denied to Australian novel therapeutic solutions - think

Viraleze awarded by Dept of Health for its MRFF grant in 2020 for rapid development of COVID treatment/preventative in 12 months that was killed in that timeline by TGA banning it at 11 months

Or ELLUME - Mobile phone linked RAT by Qld company that TGA refused to approve and ended up being approved in US with Defence dept building a manu plant

And Nasodine approved for export but not for Australians - nice ethics there!

- all victims in early pandemic and now with reputations damaged

As one has come to expect, from each and every aspect that you research and appraise Maryanne, your presentation to the "exalted" was clear, succinct, thorough, and undermined every statement made by the TGA.

One hopes that, with the arrival of Jay Bhattacharya in his new post in the US, you and others on the same page as you, will be able to use his influence and start to prise open the arrogant, ignorant, and entitled minds of those within the TGA, to realise that the sooner they admit the truth, the sooner the health of the Australian population, and everyone else in the world, so severely affected by this "vaccine" can be treated and in time we can move on.

As always, great work Maryanne.
