Mainstream media (which includes the New York Times) are in a death spiral. It is almost like they have given up and thrown their integrity and reputation out of the window.

There are still some meticulous, thoroughly honest journalists out there.
During covid I corresponded with several journalists. Adam Creighton from the Australian was excellent and I fed him many papers and information from protests I attended. He was v interested and asked many questions. His writing was balanced and he has since stated that period was shameful and wrong.
However I have little positive to say about the others. Chris kenny never responded and the description controlled opposition comes to mind. He never gave any anti vaccine spokespeople a serious go.
The health reporter at Gold Coast Bulletin Emily Toxward seemed ok. I shared papers showing masking useless and with all sorts of ill effects. She was v interested I had stopped masking at a multinational manufacturer over safety concerns, particularly as this was directly counter to govt policy. But then she suddenly went silent and never published anything but false health propsganda.
There were others but the most unworthy mention was Rhiannon Down of Newscorps total false reporting of Brisbane protests. Her article talked about "hundreds" of protestors when there were approx 80 000. I sent her video from Brisbane City showing the approx 3km long march, with people still exiting the Botanic Gardens. Of course no response....utter liar.

One presumes that the lack of adjustment to the reality of life and to the truth, of newspapers like the NYT and most of the others, is mostly due to the fact that, their journalists and their editors and fellow commentators, all swim in the same very parochial swamp. That together, with many of their ownerships being democrat party leaning. But surely, they have to realise that their ideological stupidity is garrotting their future.
There will be enormous ferocity by the MSM against everything that President Trump, Robert Kennedy Jr., Elon Musk and others will be attempting to do in the next four years. But what they will not realise is that the only people who will end up listening to their daft and bizarre tirades, will be fellow MSM journalists and media quacks.
We have oft wondered exactly how the dinosaurs became extinct. However, in this case the extinction of the modern media dinosaur, and the reasons for it, are currently unfolding in front of our very eyes!!
